Week one in Kuala Lumpur was a lot of being up in the middle of the night, sightseeing and back to back events for the holidays. This is just a snapshot of some of the things we did during our first week. The Petronas Tower is one of the most amazing buildings I have ever seen in my life and the view from the top? WOW. It is even more spectacular in the evening with all the sparkling lights on - photos to come soon. I will post more photos that we have taken so far, as soon as I find some time to organize them all.
The question that I get asked a lot is "what do you find most different here from the states?". There are many, but the one that I decided to share with you today is that the people out here eat chili sauce with everything you can think of! It is their ketchup - no joke. You will find it at the McDonald's, Ikea, everywhere (yes, I will not deny it, we've eaten more fast food here than in 1 year back in the states!). It is even by Heinz, looks like a ketchup bottle, but when you put it on your food, it sure doesn't taste like ketchup - it definitely has got a kick. I'll share more differences with you with each of my Malaysia update posts.
